<h2>Our Story</h2>
<p>The Malawi Twinning Project was founded in 2001 by parishioners of Corpus Christi RC Church in Tonbridge, Kent. What began as a small group of people moved by the hardship faced by communities in Malawi has grown into a lasting partnership spanning three parishes and more than two decades.</p>
<h2>Why Malawi?</h2>
<p>Malawi is one of the poorest countries in sub-Saharan Africa. Despite its challenges, it is known for the warmth and resilience of its people. Our twinning is not about charity in a one-directional sense — it is a genuine friendship, a mutual enriching of two communities separated by thousands of miles but united by faith.</p>
<h2>How We Work</h2>
<p>We raise funds through parish collections, sponsored events, quiz nights and the generosity of individual donors. All money raised goes directly to projects agreed with our partners in Malawi — no money is spent on administration from UK donations.</p>
<p>Projects are identified and led by the communities themselves. Our role is to listen, support and provide resources where they are most needed.</p>
<h2>The Committee</h2>
